Molten cakes are so rich with a perfectly creamy center.  A luscious dessert to satisfy your sweet tooth.  We love them and you will too! 😊

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cups or 1 stick of butter, cut into cubes, plus more for ramekins
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar, plus more for topping
  • 2 large eggs, plus 2 egg yolks
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cup Tribal Moon Cacao
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 4 tablespoon peanut butter
  • 1 cup water

Note: *For an added crunch and bitter-sweet taste, you can use 1 cup of Tribal Moon Cacao nibs instead of chocolate chips. ** 😋😋😋

Direction:

  1. Use butter to grease 4 ramekins. Combine butter and chocolate chips (or Tribal Moon Cacao Nibs). In a medium microwave-safe bowl, melt the combined butter and chocolate chips at 30-second intervals.
  2. Combine powdered sugar, eggs, egg yolks, and vanilla and add them to the ramekins. Whisk until smooth.
  3. Once the combination is smooth, add Tribal Moon Cacao, flour, and salt and whisk until just combined.
  4. Pour batter halfway through the ramekins, then top each ramekin with about 1 tablespoon of peanut butter. Add the remaining batter. Tightly cover ramekins with foil.
  5. Place ramekins in an air fryer basket and cook at 375° for 12 minutes. Remove foil, and cook for 6 minutes more. Work in batches if necessary.
  6. Carefully remove ramekins from Instant Pot. Remove the lid and use a spatula to remove the cake around the edges.
  7. Enjoy!😁😁

IMPORTANT CACAO PREPARATION NOTES:

Depending on what type of recipe you are creating, we always try and prepare cacao in the easiest possible way with the greatest amount of care. So here are a few helpful hints on how to do that.

  • If you need the cacao in more of a powder-type form for your recipe, just blitz larger chunks of Tribal Moon Cacao in a Nutri-Bullet, Thermomix, or Food Processor for 10 seconds. Then it is all ready to go without needing to chop or grate it. Easy. 😊
  • If you need to turn your cacao into more of a liquid type of consistency, simply pour boiling water into a pot with the cacao and stir over heat until it melts. NEVER LEAVE THE CACAO as it begins to get hot. If it starts to steam, that is as hot as you want to get. Try to NEVER RAISE the temperature of the cacao above 87 Degrees Celsius as it will lose some of its medicinal qualities.
  • Have fun
