Tribal Moon Muesli Bars

Ceremonial Cacao

Perfect for your pre-workout snack or post-workout treats, this Cacao Muesli Bars recipe is easy to make and can last for a month in a fridge. 😊😊

Ingredients

  • 60 grams of Tribal Moon Cacao
  • 1 Cup Brown Sugar
  • 4 Tablespoons Butter
  • 1/4 Cup Milk
  • 1/2 Cup Mixed nuts (Chopped Almonds, pistachio, cashew)
  • 2 Cup Granola or breakfast muesli
  • 1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract

Instructions

  • Into a heavy-bottomed saucepan bring together the sugar, Tribal Moon Cacao, butter and milk to simmer. Keep stirring the mixture until sugar dissolves and the butter is melted
  • Once the mixture is well combined, turn off the heat and stir in chopped nuts, vanilla and muesli. Once again, while warm, mix all the ingredients well.
  • Grease a square baking or tray, with butter. Spread the above muesli bar mixture evenly in a 1 or 2-inch thick layer.
  • With greased fingers or with spatula press the mixture gently to form an even surface. Keep the tray in the fridge for 1 to 2 hours or until mixture is firm and set
  • Once Muesli Bars are set, cut them into squares and store in an airtight container in the fridge. They stay well for about a month in the refrigerator.

IMPORTANT CACAO PREPARATION NOTES:

Depending on what type of recipe you are creating, we always try and prepare cacao in the easiest possible way with the greatest amount of care. So here are a few helpful hints on how to do that.

  • If you need the cacao in more of a powder-type form for your recipe, just blitz larger chunks of Tribal Moon Cacao in a Nutri-Bullet, Thermomix, or Food Processor for 10 seconds. Then it is all ready to go without needing to chop or grate it. Easy. 😊
  • If you need to turn your cacao into more of a liquid type of consistency, simply pour boiling water into a pot with the cacao and stir over heat until it melts. NEVER LEAVE THE CACAO as it begins to get hot. If it starts to steam, that is as hot as you want to get. Try to NEVER RAISE the temperature of the cacao above 87 Degrees Celsius as it will lose some of its medicinal qualities.
  • Have fun
